Day of Rest

We had a wonderful long Labor Day weekend. It truly was a weekend of rest and relaxation for us.


Bobby and I were deep in conversation while the kids were "painting". We heard them giggling a little too joyfully and turned to see them looking like this:

Then we decide to try to make Bobby look like a rock star....
His parents just thought that he stuck his finger in a light socket. : )

Lastly, we had a "swimming party" at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Right after he had woken up, Chris started talking about how excited he was about the party. When I told him that it was just the family and we were just swimming, like we always do, he said that he thought we meant a real party with a cake and everything. Oh, and he wanted a swimming pool cake. Well, I had some blue cake decorating spray that I had bought for a birthday and never used, so I figured it might be kinda fun to try to make a cake look like a swimming pool. This is what we ended up with.
